New Art for the Historic Environment [added 15/10/02]

The Arts Council of England, The Crafts Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund have jointly produced a publication celebrating the innovative ways in which the art works funded by the National Lottery have helped to change our perspective on the historic and natural environment. Since the advent of the Lottery some £80m has been invested in public art projects The HLF, Arts Council and the Crafts Council have all played a part in commissioning variety of outstanding public art within historic settings. This publication includes a range of case studies including Richard Wentworth’ s Parish Boundary Markers, Teesdale Way and Andy Goldsworthy’s Cumbrian Sheepfolds.
